We decided to risk a bit of travel during the pandemic, and made a beeline for Avon and Aspen to do some hiking. Absolutely gorgeous weather without a cloud in the sky for the entire week. Explored the Eagle River and Crater Lake areas at Avon, rose for first light on the Maroon Bells near Aspen, and returned to Denver over Independence Pass and Twin Lakes.
Tried out a Singh-Ray Mountain View ND filter on the dawn shots of Maroon Bells. It did a great job of balancing the bright light of the morning sun on the peak with the dark foreground of Maroon Lake.
