Just returned from several days of skiing and photos in Lake Louise, Alberta. The winter mountain scenery there is absolutely stunning. The first two days provided snow and moody clouds, and the final day brilliant sun. A highlight on the last morning was rounding the bend at Morant's Curve on the Bow River Parkway just before dawn to catch the nearly full moon setting over the peaks.
The FIS Men's World Cup Downhill race was run during our visit, which also gave us an opportunity to ride the lifts with world class racers and team members. A pity I didn't carry a larger lens during the competition, as there were ample opportunities to get good shots of skiers rounding the final turn on the lower course.
