In August, I took my teenage son and a couple of his friends to Padre Island for two days of surf camp.
It was blazing hot on the beach, but the water was refreshing. I had the opportunity to test my D-850 shutter speed with long lens (Nikkor 300mm f/4E PF with TC-20E III Teleconverter) from the beach.
I also managed to sneak away to the National Seashore to take a few shots of the wetlands near the bay, using variable Singh-Ray ND filters to balance the exposure and a Lee warming polarizer to bring out a bit of color in the water and grasses.
